Your Mac provides several tools to help you identify it. The simplest is About This Mac, available by choosing About This Mac from the Apple menu  in the upper-left corner of your screen. The other is the System Information app. Learn how to use these tools to identify your Mac.

If you don’t have your Mac or it doesn’t start up, use one of these solutions instead:

  • Find the serial number printed on the underside of your Mac, near the regulatory markings. It’s also on the original packaging, next to a barcode label. You can then enter that serial number on the Check Coverage page to find your model.
  • The original packaging might also show an Apple part number, such as MLH12xx/A (“xx” is a variable that differs by country or region). You can match the Apple part number to one in the list below to find your model.

One of the only things keeping people and businesses in face-to-face communication with each other as the coronavirus pandemic continues is video chatting. It’s connecting without physically doing so.

There are all kinds of products to use, but it seems like two of them are the most popularity: Google Hangouts and Zoom, so let’s break them down to see which one might best suit your video chatting needs.

  1. Using the Google Hangouts extension, for some reason when I call people, I can't hear them, though they can apparently hear me. However, if they call me, then I can hear them just fine. If I go to voice.google.com and make the call there, no issues.
  2. Search the world's information, including webpages, images, videos and more. Google has many special features to help you find exactly what you're looking for.
  3. Google Hangouts allows you to message, have video calls and phone calls right from your computer or mobile device. You can access Google Hangouts here: https.
  4. May 17, 2015 - Explore Danny Stout's board 'Google Hangouts', followed by 2274 people on Pinterest. See more ideas about Google hangouts, Google, Social media.

Google Hangouts lets you communicate with your team via instant messaging, voice calls, and video calls. This integration allows you to easily start a Hangout with the members of a channel. To start a Hangout, enter /hangout in any channel. You will be given a link from which you can start the Hangout with a handy Slack control panel on the.

What makes me an expert? Well, I did some research, but I also attempted to use both for a call with my parents, aunt and uncle, and two cousins on Monday night. Here’s what you need to know:

Google Hangouts

It’s pretty simple: click on Hangouts (note: we’re talking about Hangouts, not Hangouts Meet. There’s a difference!), share the link to the chat with your friends, or invite people on the app on your phone and there you go! You have a free video chat!

The thing I’d say is Hangouts is useful for a small group. Once we got to five callers, it got a little chaotic with multiple people talking over each other at once, so you may have to tell everyone to mute and take their turns (although that’s not as fun!). But you can also use emojis and GIFs in the chat, which can add flavor to a conversation.

Again, I emphasize: it’s free and is one or two clicks away from being used. Simplicity is key.

Zoom

It’s built for business meetings, so some of the fun stuff you can add in on Hangouts is out (there is one cool feature I’ll get to in a sec). But I found it a little easier and more organized to use for bigger groups. And while there is a free option, it’s only for up to 100 people and meetings are limited to 40 minutes, so if you want to pay no money, you may need to have a virtual Happy Three-Quarters-of-an-Hour. After that, the Pro option is $14.99 per month. The Business option ($19.99 per month) is for 300 participants, and Enterprise ($19.99 per month with a minimum of 50 hosts) gets up to 500.

And then you can also do virtual backgrounds, which is neat:

If you’re doing a work call, however, note that there’s this feature admins can use:

If enabled by an account administrator, “attention tracking” allows (or can even require) meeting hosts who are sharing their screen to see if the participant’s Zoom app is out of focus (not open and active on their screen) for 30 seconds. There is no notification feature for attendees.

That’s it! Happy chatting.

Where Is Find And Replace On Word For Mac

Aug 30, 2018. You do not need to enter text or numbers that you want to find and replace unless required. Click the “Format” button next to the “Find What” and “Replace With” text boxes to set the formatting. Specify the formatting you want to find or replace. A preview of the formatting is shown in the Find and Replace window. Find and replace text in Pages on Mac You can search for specific words, phrases, numbers, and characters, and automatically replace search results with new content that you specify. All visible content in the document—the main body text, headers and footers, tables, text boxes, shapes, footnotes and endnotes, and comments—is included in.

When we see two lines of words in an MS Word document, we don’t get to see what is separating them. There are severl characters that act as line break. There are several names; line break, new line, carriage return, paragraph break etc.

Today, while doing a bit of data processing, I was required to remove all the line breaks (carriage return) in an MS-Word document and replace line breaks with a comma. I was processing a long list of email addresses with one email address per line. And I wanted this list to become a comma separated list (CSV); so as to use it somewhere else.

In MS-Word, paragraph break is represented by invisible character (¶) which looks like a horizontally flipped P letter. You can toggle the visibility of this character by clicking a button given on the Home tab in MS Word. The button bears the same ¶ symbol. You should click this button to be able to see what exactly is separating the lines.

Find And Replace Formatting In Word

Our tips on MS-Word make your life easier and increase your productivity at work.

If lines are breaking because of paragraph break then ¶ will appear at the end of the lines. If lines are breaking due to line break (carriage return), a left-angled arrow symbol will appear at the end. Let’s first see how to deal with paragraph break:

Where Is Find And Replace On Word For Mac
  • Open the Word document that you want to work on
  • Press CTRL + H to bring up the Find and Replace box
  • In the “Find what” box type ^p [this upward arrow character is called caret and is usually available on a number key]
  • In “Replace with” box type a comma
  • Click on Replace All button.

Thus all the paragraph breaks in you document will get replaced by a comma. You can use whatever character(s) you like in “Replace with” box. For example, if you want to replace every paragraph break with two paragraph breaks –then you should type ^p^p in “Replace with” box.

If you simply want to remove paragraph breaks; just leave the “Replace with” box blank. And you’ll get a monolithic chunk of text!

How to Remove / Replace Line Break, Carriage Return (Enter key)
Follow the same process as given above. Instead of finding paragraph sign (^p), now you should look for line break or carriage return sign (represented by ^l). Therefore, type ^l in “Find what” box and replace it something else (or with nothing).

NOTE: This article is part of my MS Word Guide. This guide solves your day to day MS Word problems. Easily!

So, this is how you can replace line breaks, paragraph breaks and carriage returns in MS Word document. Please le t me know if you have any questions about this topic. I will be glad to try and assist you. Thank you for using TechWelkin.

In Word 2008 for Mac, you’re not limited to making word replacements when you use Find and Replace. You can make formatting changes as well, saving you time. For example, if you want to search for a certain word and make it appear in bold and italic text, you can easily do one search to make the change throughout the document.

2010

Here’s how to use Find and Replace to make global formatting changes in a document:

1Choose Edit→Find.

Optionally, press the Command key + F. The Find and Replace dialog appears.

Where Is Find And Replace On Word For Mac 2

2Type the word you want to replace in the Find What field. Click the Highlight All Items check box to locate all the occurrences of the word or phrase you’re searching for in the document.

If you don’t click the Highlight All Items check box, Word will find each occurrence of the word one at a time. Because you want to change them all, you want to highlight them all.

3Click the Find All button and then close the Find and Replace dialog.

All occurrences of the word are now selected.

4Choose Format→Font and choose the formatting you want from the Font Style list. Click OK.

Every occurrence of the word in the document now appears with the formatting you selected.

Is there some sort of solo variant for Frostgrave? If not, what would be the best way to play it solo? Should I incorporate one of the Two Hour Wargames or Ganesha Games systems? If so, which one? And how exactly would I incorporate it into Frostgrave without losing the basic mechanics of Frostgrave. I still want the game to be Frostgrave, but with enemy A.I.

Thanks.

MajorB15 Oct 2015 1:39 a.m. PST

The same way you would play any other game solo. I have never found a game I cannot play solo. I do not use any of those 'solo' mechanisms, but just play each side in turn.

Green Tiger15 Oct 2015 1:44 a.m. PST

I'm with MajorB – I call it the schizophrenic method. You just have to genuinely want the side you are playing to win. The game mechanics should add enough randomness to keep you guessing…

Joe5mc15 Oct 2015 3:22 a.m. PST

Some people have taken to playing a warband versus random monsters. You'd have to work at it a bit to get the balance, but it could certainly be done. It's harder to play versus another warband, because an AI has a tough time dealing with spellcasters…although Thaw of the Lich Lord will provide one example.

Tuudawgs15 Oct 2015 5:14 a.m. PST

I have found Two Hour Wargames 'Rally round the King' has a really good system for tactics in medium/large scale games.

Avalon Game Company makes a series of solo adventure 'Avalon Quests' with different tactics for small groups.
And, Dungeon-Bash-v11 has a system for spell casters. This one is a flow chart and is kind of involved but works well.

All three are available at RPGNOW

A plug for the system I devised for a solo SOBH campaign:

It combines modular dungeon tiles, an AI system inspired by the D&D dungeon-crawl games, presented on home-printed cards made using free online Magic card generators, which was also used to make the blanks for the deployment of the 'monsters'.

Great War Ace15 Oct 2015 7:05 a.m. PST

MajorB has the core of solo gaming IDed: play all sides, each in turn, each as if YOU are that side. I think it might take a 'special' sort of mindset. I can do it.

It's especially easy if the other side are all zombies, then you don't have to switch sides. Of course, it all gets pretty monotonous and dull after a little while….

MajorB15 Oct 2015 7:49 a.m. PST
I don't KNOW as the approaching party whether there is one or not, even though in my role as one of the slovenly malodorous perverts on the other side whether there is or not. So, just 'playing that side to win' isn't necessarily straightforward,

I didn't say 'play that side to win'. I did say 'play each side in turn'. If I had a situation such as you describe, I would decide what information the active side actually had and not allow myself to do anything related to information they did not know. I don't need cards or any other 'solo' mechanism, just a modicum of common sense.

So if I set up a game where one side is waiting in ambush, and there is no logical reason why the other side should know, then I will move them normally. If the rules allow them to scout then that will help with whether they spot the ambushers before they spring their trap or not.

So basically you make all the decisions from start to finish for both sides. I assume that includes opposing forces, their Mission, and what they will do each turn. I've seen your posts on this before so you've been very consistent.

That's why I was a bit confused by this post.

Did you find what you are looking for and how would it be different than what you normally do?

viper512115 Oct 2015 9:45 a.m. PST

Joe5mc's (the designer) post on a warband against monsters (not against another warband) seems like good idea. Can Joe5mc or anyone else elaborate on this?

I see that Pedrobear posted about such a system he created, but I want the system to still be Frostgrave as much as possible, not an entirely new system. However, I am not averse to mixing in another system with Frostgrave to achieve proper solo play if that would be best.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

MajorB15 Oct 2015 10:30 a.m. PST
So basically you make all the decisions from start to finish for both sides. I assume that includes opposing forces, their Mission, and what they will do each turn.

Yes. As I'm the only player, I'm the only one that can make any decisions.

I've seen your posts on this before so you've been very consistent.
That's why I was a bit confused by this post.

Did you find what you are looking for ?

Actually, yes, I did find the rules that I knew I had seen but couldn't remember where. They are in Henry Hyde's 'Wargaming Compendium'. Essentially at the end of a player's turn, they roll 1D6 for the number of NPCs that can be activated. The player chooses which NPCs to activate and then the opposing player decides where they move. NPCs will not willingly move into the line of fire and there is also a rule that allows the bad guys to use NPCs as a 'human shield'.

As you can see, not specific to a solo gaming context at all, but easily applied in that case.

and how would it be different than what you normally do?

Not having such a mechanism at all, I have struggled in the past on how to handle NPCs, hence the thread you linked to. I was hoping that someone could jog my memory as to where I'd seen the rules.

Glad it worked out for you.

MajorB15 Oct 2015 11:02 a.m. PST
but my point was that you may find yourself in situations where there s a decision to make where insufficient information is available to make an informed decision and insufficient time to play things safely.

No real life commander ever has perfect information, so they are faced with these kinds of decisions all the time. So are we as players in a wargame. Do I advance cautiously or hasten because of time constraints? Do I engage in a fire fight or charge into melee? Do I attack frontally or attempt to find a flank?

It is just the same in a solo context. You, the player, still have to make those decisions. Ah, you say, but in a solo game you DO have perfect information because you are also playing the other side! I sometimes think of the way I do this as 'selective memory loss'. I try to put myself in the position of the figure or unit on the table. What information do THEY have? More importantly, what information do they NOT have? I then base my decision on what I will have them do according to their perspective of the situation. It's one of those things that's difficult to describe, but easy to do …

viper,

While I used SOBH for my solo campaign, the mechanics I used can still be applied to a game like Frostgrave for a warband vs. monsters.

If you want to have an AI-controlled enemy warband, it is also possible: the same concept of grouping and logic algorithm applies.

First, group your warband in 'squads': the wizard and his squad, the apprentice and his squad, and the other 'specialist' squads.

Give each squad a 'mission template'. For example, one wizard may like to actively seek out and engage the enemy wizard, while another may prefer hanging back and casting buffing spells. One squad may be thieves with the task to run and grab treasures and then run off, another may be fighters who hunt down enemy figures trying to run off with the treasure.

For each squad, craft the algorithm to fit its task. Start with 'if 50% of squad dead or below 50% health', then 'if no enemy within LOS', 'if enemy within LOS but out of missile range', 'if enemy within missile range but not charge range', 'if enemy within charge range', 'if in melee'. You can add specific conditions based on the mission of the squad.

For wizard and apprentice, have a 'preferred spells list' for each of the conditions and choose the most appropriate one each activation.

xLAVAx16 Oct 2015 2:27 a.m. PST

In my solo games I always play against a 'bigger' force and I use counters to represent the enemy on the board. The counters can be real or false units and I don't find out until I have LOS. Once I have LOS, I flip the counter to see if there is a real unit there or not. I have a false counter for every real one. I move the counters as if I am a second player but having no idea which is real and which is not. Brings lots of surprises and forces you to treat each counter as an actual threat.

MajorB16 Oct 2015 5:32 a.m. PST
Your troops come to a fork in the road in the woods. Which path do they take and why? They know nothing. There is no action yet – everyone is doing the preliminary advance into battle. No reason to expect problems of any sort.

From that basis, you are choosing, but YOU know that there is an ambush on the right side but the left side is clear. They have no information either way. All I'm suggesting is that there are examples where if you are simply 'playing the other side' there will be times when your personal knowledge, bias, etc. will affect the decisions 'they' (you) make.

Again, you have to put yourslef in the shoes of the commander on the ground. It is not what you, the player, choose to do, it is what he, the commander in real life, would choose to do.

So what would he do? He might ask his immediate subordinates for advice. He might trust to his own intuition. Hell, he might even just toss a coin.

How you decide that is one of the joys of solo gaming!

There's an old adage in wargaming that is 'let the dice decide'. The Mythic gaming engine and various derivatives basically do just that.

An of course the other alternative is that, the solo wwrgamer not being bound by prerssures of time, might possibly want to try both options in successive games!!

MajorB16 Oct 2015 1:24 p.m. PST
He might trust to his own intuition

How does 'he' do that without being 'you' doing that to get or avoid a result?

That was just a real world example. I have no mechanism at the moment to simulate intuition.

There's an old adage in wargaming that is 'let the dice decide'. The Mythic gaming engine and various derivatives basically do just that.

My point exactly. So you do use some sort of solo gaming mechanisms.

But it is not a specifically 'solo' mechanism. It is just as useful in a multi-player game.

Ney Ney16 Oct 2015 2:20 p.m. PST

If you're after the magic, how about combining froostgrave spells with the song of blades spell casting method? Set a level of difficult of 1-3 successes?

Lock up yer missus

It's time to don the sheepskin coat, get the teacups ready for the half-time rant and settle down in the virtual dugout for a lifetime of agony and ecstasy. The latest version of Championship Manager is upon us, and it is, to be fair, an update of last year's superb edition. But for those whose heads have been buried in the sand, here's a brief recap on the CM phenomenon.

It is now ten years since the game first appeared on the old Commodore Amiga, packed into three floppy disks. Even then, it was an all-consuming management game, with a level of detail and involvement never before seen. CM has since evolved to include more leagues, more information, more statistics and greater tactical control, but even after a decade of updates, at its heart CM remains the same addictive-as-hell game with a cast iron guarantee of hours, days, weeks, months of anguish, tension and sheer enjoyment. The game can become an obsession. You think it at work or in the car, wondering if Michael Bridges can cut it at the top level or just how long can Teddy Sheringham compete in Premiership ('no' and 'two seasons maximum' are the answers).

CM is also a breaker of homes - just ask my missus after she hasn't heard from me for six hours and another essential DIY project is left undone for another weekend. This is because CM is the nearest I will ever get to emulating Sir Alex, Martin O'Neill and even, because I am a glutton for punishment, Barry Fry.

Bestest

So we've established Sports Interactive's title is the greatest management sim ever, and for many, the greatest PC game ever. But what about the nuts and bolts - how do you turn Southend United into Real Madrid? How do you keep Doug Ellis happy without spending any cash?

Well, you take over a team (from any one of about 20 countries), pick a squad, train them, select a tactical system that works and then pick the side and watch them play - in an exciting, text-only way of course.

To complicate matters there are injuries, transfers, money matters, player contracts, demanding chairmen, demanding fans, demanding players and their evil agents, the media poking their noses in, the FA and of course other managers, like Sir Alex, tapping up your best players. If you need to know any more about the nuts and bolts, we'd suggest you check out the review of CM 00/01 (or even the original Championship Manager 3 release) - after all, this is essentially the same game with a few add-ons.

So, what's new?

What the already initiated among you will want to know is what's changed since last time. The most obvious is the new player database. Well, it's only about three weeks behind - Stam has been kicked out of United, Dean Richards is at Spurs, but Peter Taylor has not been sacked by Leicester yet. Foxes fans need not fret, however, as the database editor allows every statto/saddo to keep their files up to date, and for the rest, the first few updates should be available on the Internet shortly.

As well as the database being up to date, so is the transfer system - a few weeks into the first season, a new UEFA directive, which is far too complicated to go into here, comes into force. There are wordy, on-screen explanations, but basically there is less of the Bosman free-for-all approach to transfers and smaller clubs are more likely to be financially compensated for the loss of a key player.

The teams are represented in almost too much detail - take over Manchester United, Inter, Bayern Munich or Real Madrid and the board will want the Champions League, but you'll have pots of cash. Celtic or Rangers want the Premier League and a good show in Europe. The chairmen on the middle ranking side (like Spurs, Aston Villa or Newcastle) will want a UEFA Cup place, but you'll have a limited transfer fund and really need to sell to get any quality in.

Anything lower and the quest becomes survival with very limited funds, and more often than not, a huge debt that needs to be cleared before any new players can be bought - only 35-year-old pros or teenage hopefuls are usually available for free. The point is it now seems harder than ever to get a team to rise above itself and outperform its initial 2001/02 standings - I should know as I got Spurs into the Inter Toto Cup in my first year but still got the sack.

Manager might

That brings me on to the first main modification - manager power. Fed up of chairmen giving you the brush-off? 'There's no money available,' they used to say. 'You run the team and we'll sort out the cash,' they patronisingly offered. Well, now you can deliver a 'back me or sack me' ultimatum. And in an eerie echo of the George Graham sacking, I demanded Spurs to put their short arms into their deep pockets to fund our Inter Toto campaign - and was dumped on the spot. Thankfully, I was rescued from the jobseekers queue by a plum job at Chesterfield.

A similar feature allows you to appeal to the FA against a sending off - do it once and you might get a key player's ban reduced. Do it too often and you'll get a reputation as a whinger and never be taken seriously again.

The optional attribute-masking mode is a great addition, which sometimes prevents you getting a full run-down of a player's abilities. You might know if he's a good header of the ball, but his determination, work-rate and stamina will be a mystery, until your scouts have had a good look at him. The football world is packed with examples of players who were not scouted properly and came a cropper - remember Savo Milosevic of who Aston Villa manager had only seen a compilation video of him in action. And there was the embarrassing matter of the new 'George Weah' picked by Graham Souness at Southampton who had to be pulled off after five minutes because he quite clearly hadn't a clue. The same applies now - scout the players first, then buy.

You can also have the scouts watch your next opposition. Do this and in the run-up to each match you get an automatic run-down on the other side - their preferred formation, how they play and who the key players are. Being told that Michael Owen is out injured is a big help.

Comparing two players side-by-side on screen to see who's best is also possible now. Some might find this useful, but after a few comparisons, we didn't really bother with it and would not miss it. Likewise the new memo system, which allows managers to put reminders on a players file, such as to renew a contract or look at a transfer prospect. The only modification we have yet to come across in our first three seasons is to send a player away for surgery on recurring injuries. Despite having a sicknote Anderton in and out of my team, my physio never once suggested he go away for this miracle cure.

The good and bad

Football Manager Games For Pc

As you can see, there are some great and some not so great little add-ons and improvements, but they are just that - little add-ons. In reality, this could be delivered as a patch for the CM00/01 edition; player updates are freely available on the web anyway and while the ultimatum, scouting and attribute-masking features improve the game, you can live without the other tweaks. At least they take nothing away from the previous incarnation.

As a stand-alone game, this is CM and superb as always. But there really is little reason to pay another £20-£25 for this if you already own CM00/01. However, as the game is so damned addictive and has a large following, we doubt Eidos or Sports Interactive will have any trouble shifting these by the barrowful. [Not to be accused of stating the obvious, this last line was written shortly before the companies' October 16 announcement that CM 01/02 has become the UK's fastest selling PC game of all time. - Ed]

The best game ever made! The virus lockdown means that myself, Teddy Sheringham and Darren Anderton have started playing a network game together. Teddy and Darren were fighting over who is going to manage Tottenham but Darren pulled his hamstring running to answer the front door so he had to settle for Portsmouth. I'm Liverpool of course but I had to go on holiday for a month to film a TV advert for TUI. Let's hope they don't go bust like Thomas Cook or travel agents will think I'm a curse!

Still the best football management simulation around! Me and Johan Cruyff still play this game today, with me being Spurs and him being Ajax. I still refuse to sign Paul Gascoigne though, even if Mystic Meg advises me to.

Paul Parker2018-07-278 points

Still love this game - it's never been bettered. Me, Des Walker and Steve Bull all go round Des's at least one a week for a network game (Bullie insists on bringing and playing on his own computer as it's the only one he's ever had & be doesn't trust anyone elses.)
It's brilliant, but they're always winding me up, telling me every goal scored against me was a deflection off my own boot. Bastads!

Steve Bull2018-07-274 points

Championship Manager 01/02 is still the best, way better than anything before or since. Me, Des Walker and Paul Parker like to have a network game at least once a week. Des is always Forest, Paul is QPR & I'm always Wolves.
We sometimes wind up Paul when he's not watching, & tell him that the commentary had just said that there's been a goal scored against him, coming off a deflection from his own boot, haha.

This is the best football management game ever. Me and Peter Shilton & Stuart Pearce still play this today, every Sunday. We all go round Shilt's house to play, as he's getting on a bit & doesn't really understand what to click on etc, so we help him out.
I'm always Ipswich, Pearcy is Forest, & Shilts is Leicester. Pearcy always brings some of his home-made fairy cakes, which is nice.

Gary Lineker2018-07-272 points

Brilliant game! I still play this today!

This is the best footie management game, to this day! I still play this with Gary Lineker sometimes, network game, when he's not playing with Barnsey, Waddle & Beardsley. He's not keen on playing with them, so sometimes he tells them he's tired after Match Of The Day the night before, & we have a game. We like to play abroad & accustom ourselves with the different styles of play in different countries.

Peter Beardsley2018-07-271 point

This is the best footie game ever. Me, Chris Waddle & John Barnes so play this every Sunday - network game like. Have done since it came oot.
We always make Barnsey play as Watford (haha) coz I wanna be Liverpool, & then Waddle can be Newcastle. When Lineker plays we let him be Tottenham. Classic game!

Chris Waddle2018-07-272 points

Me and Barnsey & Peter Beardsley still play this game, every Sunday via network linkup. Sometimes Lineker joins in, but he's usually knackered after Match Of The Day.
I like to be Newcastle, but so does Peter, so he tries to be Liverpool, but Barnsey wants to be Liverpool. We usually make Barnsey play as Watford haha!
Lineker opts for Spurs, or ponces off to be some Japanese team.

This is still the best footie management game out there. Me, Peter Beardsley and Chris Waddle have a network game of this every Sunday. Me and Beardsley often argue over who gets to be Liverpool, but then we all argue over who gets to be Newcastle! I always end up at Watford.

It's become customary to dismiss every football management game as a worthless contender to the crown so steadfastly held by Championship Manager. And with good reason; CM is a realistic simulation of the football world you can lose every waking moment to playing. For once, let's admit right at the start thatftl Manager 2002 can never come close, and analyse it not as a CM challenger but as a computer game loosely based on the world of football. It's no use complaining that it isn't realistic, that player valuations and their stats bear only a passing resemblance to reality, that it feels too cartoony. As an undemanding game of fantasy football, the FA Manager series is probably the best option available at the moment.

Slick And Sum

FA Manager2002 is pretty much an enhanced and updated version of last year's release and, for those who don't know, is the kind of management game where you have to build training grounds before your players can train and surgeries before they can be healed. Its biggest selling point though, is that it features 3D matches, which is what all the Champ Man critics want. Being an EA title, it oozes quality of presentation and the kind of slickness you associate with FIFA titles. The colours are easy on the eye, and most screens can be found effortlessly in the dropdown menus. Among the improvements in this version are the training, which is now much more comprehensive, and lots of interface tweaks, including shortcuts to the most used screens and a scrolling bar at the bottom of the screen which keeps you up to date on transfers in true Sky Sports Live fashion.

Pretty Ugly

Football Manager 2002 Free Download Pc

Perhaps the biggest improvement on last year is the new Fastview match mode, which is a more colourful version of the Champ Man text-based match engine.

It's nowhere near as involving, but it sure beats the still dreadful 3D matches. These continue to use the STARS engine and consequently look grainy and low-res. The AI is still not much better, and players run around in a parody of football, shattering any illusions you might have had beforehand that this has anything to do with the real thing. As I said before though, you'll play this kind of game if you want something that's not too involving, where you can spend more time improving the stadium than tweaking tactics, and bring big stars to your small club. If you want the real thing, you know where to go.
